Upgrade from one version to another
TubeMaestro is telling me there is a new version, should I download and install it? If so, how?
If there is a new version available, always download and install it. Generally there are always good reasons to upgrade to the new version typically because there is new functionality or sections of the existing version have been improved.
When upgradng between versions all your preferences should be remembered so you will not have to set them up again. Your license will also work with the new version as well.
The process to upgrade between versions is as follows:
Windows 2000:
- Ensure TubeMaestro is not open;
- Click the Start button and choose "Control panel";
- When the Control Panel is displayed open the "Add or remove programs" icon;
- When the list of applications is displayed scroll down to TubeMaestro;
- Click once on TubeMaestro and you should see a button on the right hand side of the page labelled "Remove" which you should then click;
- Follow the instructions and a message will be displayed confirming TubeMaestro has been removed.
- If you have not yet downloaded the new version you can download it from here download link. Please remember the folder into which you downloaded the file.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the file you downloaded.
- Right click the file and choose the option "Unzip to here" or "Extract files". Again follow any instructions remembering any folders into which the zip file is extected into.
- Once the two files have been extracted navigate to the folder where they reside and double click on Setup.exe of type Application.
- Follow the instructions and when finished the new version of TubeMaestro is installed.
Windows XP:
- Ensure TubeMaestro is not open;
- Click the Start button and choose "Control panel";

- Click the Windows button and choose "Control panel";
- When the Control Panel is displayed open the "Programs and features" icon;
- When the list of applications is displayed scroll down to TubeMaestro;
- Right click once on TubeMaestro and you should see a menu appear which includes the option "Uninstall" which you should then click;
- Follow the instructions and a message will be displayed confirming TubeMaestro has been removed.
- If you have not yet downloaded the new version you can download it from here download link. Please remember the folder into which you downloaded the file.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the file you downloaded.
- Right click the file and choose the option "Unzip to here" or "Extract files". Again follow any instructions remembering any folders into which the zip file is extected into.
