Help - Having this level of undergound information
really helps travellers as they can get up to the second tube line status information which includes
tube line closures information too. Very often when there are tube problems travellers only find out
when they have gone downstairs to find huge queues of people due to the tube chaos. It is much better
to use some tube status software such as TubeMaestro to be informed of problems before leaving to
travel and thus put the traveller in a better position to re-plan their journey.
Preferences - There are a range of preferences which
can be set to allow TubeMaestro to work in the way you want as shown by the following screen shot of
the preferences window:
These options are explained below:
Lines displayed |
This is where the tube lines can be chosen for display from a list. Only those
lines chosen are displayed on the main window. |
Refresh interval |
This is the setting which controls how often the information is updated. The
values set is in minutes and can range from 10 to 59 inclusive. |
Start with Windows |
If this option is chosen then TubeMaestro will start when a user logs into the
PC. |
Minimize to tray |
Choosing this option will minimize the main window to the icon tray typically
found in the lower right corner of the Windows desktop. |
Show button on taskbar |
The button shown on the taskbar on the bottom of the screen can be hidden or
shown using this option. |
Always on top |
By using this option the main window can be made to stay on top of all other
open windows on the desktop. This allows the current status to be viewed even when working within
other applications. |
Confirm exit |
It is possible to prevent accidentally exiting the application using this
option. |
Proxy server settings |
Often a PC will be connected to a network which is behind a corporate firewall
or proxy server. TubeMaestro allows the inclusion of the appropriate credentials to connect to the
internet through the firewall or proxy server. |
Automatic update checks |
New versions of TubeMaestro will be made available from time to time. Using
this setting, TubeMaestro is told whether to check for new versions automatically or not. If the
non-automatic option is chosen, then it is possible to manually check for a new version
at-will. |
Click4Refund Settings |
Use this button to open the window displaying the Click4Refund profile
information. Using this window you can set up your name, address, ticket and journey details which
will be used when you need to claim a refund for a delayed journey. |
